Changelog

Evolution of VectorGP. Daily GP, fixes, new systems, and circuit releases.

Daily GP arrives

A new rotating event layer is live. Daily GP now sits beside Time Trial and Session, giving the game a once-per-day challenge with its own card, countdown, best result, and rank.

What changed:

  • /Added Daily GP to the mode flow, plus a dedicated daily panel with reset timer, best-result summary, and one-tap leaderboard access.
  • /Daily events now rotate between fastest 1-lap runs, multi-lap total-time races, and crash-budget survival runs where the goal is to bank the most laps before the final allowed crash.
  • /Daily car setups can now change the feel of the run with Stock, Muscle, Tuner, and Hyper presets.
  • /Bug fixes: Improved daily challenge ranking and caching.
  • /Bug fixes: Improved wall collisions and mode select copy.

Smoother runs & clearer PBs

Feel-first pass. The view stays steadier when the game is under load, skid marks read more like real tire tracks, and your lap strip is only about your times—global standings stay on Rank.

What changed:

  • /Camera and pacing are tuned so the frame rate wobbles less—especially on slower devices and in busy corners.
  • /Skid marks are drawn as twin tire lines and no longer “connect” across straights between separate slides.
  • /Tap LAP / BEST on the HUD to open your top laps only. The global leaderboard is still opened from Rank on the track card.

Global leaderboards

Per-track global boards are here. You choose whether a lap counts, then check the standings from your rank.

What changed:

  • /Ranked laps go worldwide. Set a track to RANKED for the global board, or LOCAL to keep times private. Time Trial and Session each have their own list.
  • /Open the board from Rank. Tap Rank on the track card or after a run to see the leaders and your place. Other players appear as anonymous names.

Track Visibility & UX Refresh

This update improves how the game introduces itself and how the wider site reads. Track availability, onboarding, support pages, and underlying stability all got a cleanup pass.

What changed:

  • /Visual updates now make it clearer that multiple tracks are available when you browse the selection flow.
  • /New-player onboarding and the How to Play modal were refined so the opening experience reads more clearly.
  • /The About Vector GP and Changelog pages were updated for a cleaner presentation and better navigation.
  • /Various bug fixes and vulnerability hardening were applied across the experience.

Session Mode + Flow Update

One bigger update across the whole run flow. Session mode, result screens, onboarding, and controls have all been cleaned up in one pass.

What changed:

  • /Each track now lets you choose between Time Trial and Session before you start.
  • /Session mode now lets you keep running laps, pause anytime, and track your session best plus recent laps.
  • /Pause and results screens now use clearer action layouts, so it is faster to retry, change track, resume, finish, or share.
  • /The intro and track-select flow are cleaner, and steering input is more reliable across keyboard and on-screen controls.

Sakura Weave & Performance Update

New Track: Sakura Weave. Sakura Weave added to the main tracks.

Performance & Stability:

The game runs smoother and looks sharper. Overhauled the rendering and simulation loops to eliminate micro-stutters, especially during heavy cornering and drafting.

What changed:

  • / Skid marks and particle updates have been massively optimized to prevent frame drops during intense curves.
  • / The game canvas now better aligns with your specific device's pixel ratio, delivering a sharper look on high-resolution displays.
  • / Progression and session states are now properly maintained when switching between different tracks.

Track Select Polish

The track picker is easier to read. It now gives clearer feedback while you browse and keeps the presentation more consistent between screens.

What changed:

  • / The track picker now shows where you are in the lineup, so it is easier to see how many tracks are available.
  • / Track previews now sit more cleanly inside the selector and result screens.
  • / Personal bests shown on track cards now stay more reliable while moving between tracks and runs.

Flow & Presentation Update

The run loop is cleaner. Getting from finish or crash back into another lap now reads more clearly.

What changed:

  • / The restart button now reads Race Again.
  • / The launch sequence no longer flashes green lights under the GO! callout.
  • / The speed-line effect around the car has been removed for a cleaner race view.

Pre-Race Update

The pre-race flow has been reworked. Picking your next run is now cleaner, faster, and easier to read.

What changed:

  • / The track picker has been redesigned with a cleaner, more focused layout.
  • / Each option now shows your personal best directly in the card.
  • / You can now jump back into track selection from the HUD with a dedicated Change Track button.
  • / A new race-helmet menu gives faster access to How to Play, About Vector GP, and Changelog.
  • / A new Support button has been added to the header.

Cedar Ridge + PB Update

New Track: Cedar Ridge Circuit. Cedar Ridge rotates into the main tracks slot, replacing Harbor Park Loop.

Personal Bests:

  • / Your 5 PBs moved to the HUD stats bar, so they are easier to open between runs.
  • / Opening PBs from a win or crash screen now returns cleanly to that same result modal when you back out.
  • / The HUD PB button stays disabled during live runs, then re-enables after a finish or crash.

Race Presentation Upgrade

The track visuals got a proper upgrade. Finish lines now look fully checkered, tire barriers read like actual tire stacks, and the car finally uses the correct yellow cockpit accent.

Racing Experience:

  • / Finish lines are now fully checkered instead of dashed, both on track and in shared lap previews.
  • / Tire walls look like actual tire stacks, with depth, sidewall shading, and tread detail.
  • / The car visuals were corrected so the yellow cockpit accent reads properly instead of blending into the tire color.

Performance & Stability:

  • / Core race updates were optimized so collision checks and run history handling stay lighter during play.
  • / Longer sessions stay cleaner and more stable, especially when traces, replays, or repeated runs would previously pile up extra work.

Jade Spiral Release

New Track: Jade Spiral Circuit. Features a long pit straight, a tightening spiral at the top, a wide sweep on the right, and a lower infield loop.

Gameplay & Feel:

  • / Lap times now use simulation time — frame drops and backgrounded tabs no longer inflate your time.
  • / Smoother motion — car position and rotation interpolated between physics steps, less jitter on lower-end devices.
  • / Countdown — all three red lights show before green / GO.
  • / Skid marks stay visible even when the game skips frames.
  • / Finish line & checkpoints register correctly when scraping or hugging walls.

Mobile & Input:

  • / Steering and buttons reset when the tab loses focus or you switch apps.
  • / Best lap time stays correct when switching tracks quickly.
  • / Share and input behavior improved on mobile.
